A water park with a selection of Dolphin, Seal and Sea Lion shows, there are also rides, a large reptile and tropical fish aquarium and a large swimming pool area. Zoomarine can be found at Guia on the main EN125 heading towards Albufeira. |

Castelo de Ferragudo With its quaint cobbled streets and fishing village atmosphere, Ferragudo is one of the last outposts of the traditional Algarve. Built as a lookout post, this medieval fortress was turned into a palace by the poet Coelho Carvalho and is still a rather palatial private house today. From here it's just a short stroll down to the village's main resort area, Praia Grande. Protected by a sea wall, it's a great place for watersports, particularly windsurfing, not to mention having one of the best beaches this side of Carvoeiro. |

Algar Seco Algar Seco is not a beach, but a series of rocks and caves and holes in the cliffs. You can take a boat trip from Carvoeiro Beach, or walk down the steps to approach from the land side. It is spectacular, and well worth a visit. |

Vale de Milho Casa Azevinho is located close to the ever popular Vale de Milho golf course. Holes 5, 6 & 7 are only 150 metres away. Vale de Milho is a 9 hole (par 3) course with plenty of hazards and is a great way to improve your short game. This is a view of the third hole on the golf course. |

Carvoeiro Beach A very pretty beach, but this can get very busy in the peak season. Shops and restaurants are handy to pick up your lunch, ices for the children or drinks. There are sunbeds and sunshades available in summertime for a modest cost. |

Centianes Beach A lovely beach with plenty of space at low tide - recently extended with some old cliff removed to make it safe. There's a good fish restaurant overlooking the beach, which is approached by a pathway from a small gravel carpark and there are a few steps leading down onto the beach. Sunbeds & shades available. This is the nearest beach to the villa, being a short stroll away. |
