Frequently Asked Questions
In the village you will find dozens of restaurants offering more choices than guests have evenings to enjoy them. In the square is a popular (and famous) ice cream parlour, always a hit with both young and old. There are also many bars which offer a lively atmosphere in the evenings. Carveiro is only a few minutes drive away and taxi hire is cheap.
There is a mini market at the entrance to Rocha Brava (a 3-minute walk) which is open every day until late. A shop in the complex is currently undergoing development, and may well be ready for your arrival!
Within walking distance (5 minutes) there are several restaurants offering a whole range of different styles of cuisine. The nearest bar is at Rocha Brava adjacent to the shop. Again there are plans for a restaurant and bar by the pool.
Many visitors to the area prefer to walk to the village, which takes about half an hour. The local bus runs down into Carvoeiro from outside Rocha Brava several times a day. There are also plenty of taxis around and they are available in the square for the return journey.
Yes - on the road to Lagoa is INTERMARCHE, a large supermarket which is open 7 days a week from early until late.
There is a pharmacy and a medical centre in Carvoeiro and a large new hospital in Portimao.
